Living an Inspired Life:

I feel it is important as a doctor to be a source of hope and inspiration for the people that I influence. I believe that the most important thing a doctor or leader of any type can do is to educate, inspire and empower the people who trust in him/her.

This time of year, I always take time to read through and watch both the Passover story and the Resurrection story. When I center on the common themes within these stories, I am energized with a sense of hope and a stronger and deeper sense of faith.

It is quite inspiring to think of the incredible level of faith and trust Moses had to stand-up to the most powerful worldly leader of the day, Pharaoh, and demand freedom for his people. The courage it took to be resilient even after Pharaoh continually denied his requests. The love that Moses had for God and his people that he would risk everything to continuously confront and infuriate Pharaoh to accomplish the mission God sent him here for.

Living in Disorganization and Chaos:

The Israelites on the other hand, were living in a midst of disorganization and chaos. They witnessed multiple miracles and God deliver them from slavery. Despite all of this, they questioned God, made faithless and dishonorable decisions that took them further from the future desired for them.

Fortunately, Moses was a powerful and convicted leader and continually pursued deeper into the wilderness, pressing toward the Promised Land, despite the never-ending bickering and backlash of his own people. He was a man on a mission straight from God.

I think of Christ, knowing his fate, pressing into his fear and going forward in absolute faith and trust. Allowing his body to be brutalized, knowing that God had the greatest plan of all hidden within his tears and cries of agony.

We are Often Like the Israelites:

Our individual lives are often times disordered and chaotic. Left to our individual whims & desires, we become like the Israelites, who had seen God perform miracles, yet continually strayed away from His word. They abandoned their identity to chase after the symbol/idol that fulfilled their self-gratifying desires of the moment.

Much the same way today, our society teaches us to chase after what makes us feel good in the moment, rather than live the disciplined and faith-filled life of our biblical patriarchs. Instead, we fill our lives with all kinds of toys and trots, pills, potions, lotions, and other self-gratifying desires in order to find happiness.

The result is a society that is filled with the 4 D’s: Debt, Depression, Disease, and Divorce.

True Growth Comes From the Inside-Out:

Nothing from the outside-in will ever bring us closer to our potential. It is only by allowing what God already put within us to shine bright and fully express itself through us that will lead us closer to Him.

We need less stuff and more of God in our lives to bring peace and order to our day. Everything else just interferes with the process.

I truly believe that God has a gigantic purpose for everyone on this planet, but it is how well we anchor with absolute faith into that purpose and continually infuse it with joy, love, and hope that allows us to fulfill His dream for our lives.

INSPIRATION_BelieveFor One Week:

Ask God in the morning to infuse you with life, health, and healing this day. To lead, guide, & direct all of your steps and to use you to fulfill the dream He has for your life. Then before every action, commit it to God and let go of the result.

I have found that my ego is the biggest detriment and distraction in my life. It is what causes most of the negative stress that I have experienced in my life. I look back at all the stupid arguments, petty details, offenses and miscommunicated feelings that I let get to my head and I realize just how much my ego has drained from my life.

Let’s all make it a consistent habit to ask the Lord to strip our ego so we are more sensitive to the direction He has for us. His purpose for our lives is way to important than to spend our time getting easily offended, bickering & complaining, holding grudges and arguing over things of little value.

Our Purpose:

Like many of you, I feel real pain at the core of my spirit when I see people making neglectful decisions, abusing themselves, their bodies and their future. That is why I wake up burning with passion every morning to teach and encourage the principle of life and health God’s way into those I come across.

I believe each of us has been placed here with a specific purpose in our lives, and we are born with everything we need to successfully complete our missions during our lifetime. Our bodies are the vehicles we have been given with which to perform our duties and reach our destinies. As such, it is our responsibility to take supreme care of ourselves.

Maximize Your Mindset:

As a health coach, I believe the most important elements I can get across to any individual are:

1. Understanding that there are no accidents or coincidences, but that through every circumstance, God is opening windows of opportunity to bless and fill your life.

2. Love for the very temple that God created especially for us; our bodies; to house the spirit He infused within.

3. Faith that God created our bodies to heal themselves so long as we honor His temple.

4. Hope that no matter what has happened in the past, if we repent (change) of our ways, discipline ourselves and do the right things starting now we have a new hope and our future will be better.

5. Joy in the process and life-long journey of building health and growing towards our potential.

6. Courage to stand-up for what is right, regardless of what anyone else may think, say, or do.

7. Promise that God has something beyond anything you can think, dream, or even imagine in store for your life if you will let Him take the lead.

  1. Thank you! You spoke the absolute truth that is needed in today’s time. I’m blessed that the LORD JESUS allowed me to find your website. With so much new age in the homeopathic and medical field, it is so refreshing to see a Doctor who has a relationship with the LORD and it’s not ashamed of professing it to the world! We needed you to direct and teach how to get healthy without all the complexity of doing it. Thank you again! May the LORD continue to bless, protect, guide and bring you and your family even closer to HIM. May the Shalom Peace of GOD be always with you and yours. In JESUS NAME, Amen!
I have just began the trip to get healthier the right way and stay on that road, and my husband is coming with me. For 2 weeks I have to be on a leaky gut eating plan, but I’m stuck about getting recipes and ideas on what to eat, buy and what to cook. After this plan, then I will be introduced to one food at a time. I would appreciate if you have any suggestions for me?
    Thank you again,
    Be Blessed,
    Miriam

  2. Thank you for the words of LIFE to live by shared in this article and also the SuperCharged Mindset that I happened to read today… Which spoke directly to my situation in a timely way.

So grateful that you also acknowledge both Passover and Resurrectuon Sunday, and draw out and share the significance of both…

“For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast..” 1 Cor. 5:7 & 8.

Happy Passover and a Blessed Resurrection Sunday to you!

  5. Dr. ‘David’,
What an absolute JOY to see one serving in the secular area of health and welfare chose to declare personal faith in the One True God and His influence and lessons learned from His words and ways. “Wisdom is the principle thing; therefore get wisdom. And in your getting, get understanding” (Proverbs 4:7 NKJV) You have earned and gained much wisdom through your ‘young’ life and have obtained a deep passion to heal God’s Body, Church and Bride for HIs soon coming! You live the life you promote and teach others about so you are a proven example of God’s likeness to all you touch. I have no doubt of your blessings and Kingdom crowns you will receive.
May the Lord keep you and bless you continually in your ‘ministry’ to His people. My hope and prayers are one with you.
    In His glorious Love,
    Sherry

  6. I first heard you on the radio WNIV then your weekly newsletter and I am blessed by your inspirational article. I thank God for you.

  7. Thank you Dr Jockers for being obedient in your walk and choosing to inspire. My family and I appreciate you! Have a blessed Passover celebration!

  8. Dr. Teacher;
Thanks for the life-saving words and warning about ego and pride. I am vulnerable like most to these feel-good-about-myself temptations, at the expense of those I love around me. My inflated ego can drain the life out of me and those I love, much to Lucifer’s delight! In my experience, it is an ill-health condition that forces opening of eyes to see the Light through self-imposed darkness. Blessings to you for spreading The Good News and The Promises. One Love.

      1. I am not a christian but a muslim and i agree with what is written here, we have the same belief in the one true God the lord of abraham, moses and jesus peace be upon them all. I just wanted to add that when Moses (pbuh) was confronted with pharoahs powerful super army behind him and the huge sea infront of him he didn’t say what the children of israel said “indeed we are overtaken this day!” but he said “Never! Indeed Allah is with us and he will guide us through it!” his faith was unshaken and then he was instructed to hit the sea with his staff before Allah split the sea for him. So action is also important but the result is with God. It is our job to do our bit and leave the rest to Him. There is a lovely talk on Moses (pbuh) and the lessons we can learn from this trial on youtube by Yasmin Mogahed which christians, muslims and Jews can benefit from or anyone from any faith. Thankyou Dr Jocker, you are an inspiration.

  9. I’m late to this party, but I just heard Dr. Jockers in a candida podcast, and when he said “an ability in us that God gave us” I had to rewind. It’s such a blessing to find another Christian health professional who can talk about mindfulness, nutrition, and healthy living through a Godly perspective. It’s hard with some of my other health websites because of the evolution/spiritualism/etc. that I’m not okay with infusing into my lifestyle because I see a doctrinal conflict. And it’s hard seeing Christians who live more spiritual lives but neglect their physical bodies, because I really believe that God wants us to take care of our physical bodies so that we can be ready for anything He calls us to do.
Looking forward to diving in to more content on this website…

  10. Good morning, Dr. Jockers,
What a wonderful message to start the day. Thank you for your heartfelt messages, this one is especially meaningful to me.
May God continue to bless you and your family as well as those of us who strive to remain steadfast in a world gone ‘to the devil’. Ego is a tough master…God Bless You!!

  11. Our God’s Word is “filled to brim” with ALL the Wisdom we/this world will ever need….. we just have to find that Quite Time…“be listening keenly”, to Him, for Life answers He will give to us…..Thank you Lord for the Wonderful Holy Spirit that resides within, that He alone has placed within us…..ask for His Wisdom, He will give us wisdom, & upbraideth not-(doesn’t hold back)‼️😊Thank you Dr. Jockers…. always wonderful to hear of another Christian Dr. who knows our Lord🙏…. Happy Resurrection Day…. He has risen…. He has risen INDEED👍

  12. So happy you called it “Resurrection Day!” I agree! Blessings to you. So glad to know you believe in our wonderful Lord. Love all your articles and now I feel even better sending them to others in my community. Thanks for all you do. Happy Resurrection Day!

  13. Dear Dr. Jockers: What a blessing you are! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and the Scripture verses. I especially like your first paragraph under “For one week” stating to ask God each morning to help me fulfill the dream He has for my life, etc. A beautiful perspective. I plan to write that paragraph out and follow your suggestion with it. I appreciate so much knowing that you love the Lord and that you are courageous in sharing His love and message to the world. I also appreciate so very much all the helpful health information you so generously share. The love and care you demonstrate for others is so special. May God continue to bless you and your precious family. Have a Wonderful Resurrection Sunday. In His Love, Iwana
