The Garlic Orange Beef and Kale Salad

IMG_0323[1]IMG_0327[1]The Garlic Orange Beef and Kale Salad is tasty and loaded with superfoods.  This amazing recipe combines some of the most anti-oxidant rich foods such as kale, garlic, turmeric and oregano.  These foods and herbs help to detoxify the liver, cleanse the skin and destroy cancer cells.  Turmeric digests better when it is combined with oil and black pepper.  So olive oil and black pepper are used in this.

The grass-fed beef or sausage links are  loaded with essential fats, B vitamins and high quality proteins.  It is fat burning, brain building fuel and it tastes incredible.  It is always best to surround cooked meat with anti-oxidant rich vegetables and herbs.  That is exactly what this recipe does!

The Garlic Orange Beef Ingredients:

Large bunch of kale – diced up

1/4 red onion diced

4-8 garlic cloves diced

1-2 tbsp of extra virgin coconut oil

3-4 grass-fed beef or sausage links

1 Orange bell pepper (washed and diced)

2-4 tbsp of raw apple cider vinegar

2-3 tbsp of extra virgin olive oil

2 tbsp of turmeric

1-2 tbsp of oregano

Pink salt and black pepper to taste

The Garlic Orange Beef Directions:  

Dice up kale, red onion, garlic and the sausage or hot dog links.  Put 1-2 tbsp of extra virgin coconut oil on a stainless steel pan and turn on heat.  Once the coconut oil has melted add all the diced up veggies and beef.  Sautee everything on a low-medium heat for about 5-7 mins.    Be sure not to burn or overcook.  When veggies are cooked to deep they lose all their nutrients and if beef is overcooked it produces heterocyclic amines and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons which are highly carcinogenic.  So go for medium – rare.

Once the sautee is ready, turn off heat and let simmer.  Dice up some bell peppers and put the sauteed meat and veggies into a big salad bowl.  Then add apple cider vinegar and extra virgin olive oil.  Sprinkle in turmeric, pink salt, oregano and black pepper and mix into salad as well as possible.  Top the salad with orange bell peppers.  Enjoy!
