Beef and Buttered Broccoli Ingredients:

1 lb of grass-fed beef, sliced into strips

¼ cup of coconut aminos

3 tsps of grass-fed butter or ghee

3 cloves of chopped garlic

1 tsp of Herbamare

1 head broccoli chopped

Beef and Buttered Broccoli Instructions:

  1. Add the coconut aminos, grass-fed butter to the crockpot
  2. Add garlic and herbamare
  3. Toss meat in crockpot to coat
  4. Cook on low for 6-8 hours
  5. Add broccoli about an hour before serving
  6. Serve over rice, cauliflower rice or quinoa if you like.

Feel free to put in tons of other veggies that you have on hand.  You can use onions, carrots, celery with the meat and then throw in the broccoli and kale at the last hour of cooking.

You can also just use beef stew meat or ground beef if you like

Dr Jockers Comments:

If you like a simple crockpot meal, this is excellent.  Crockpot meals are great for using up older veggies and for having a continuous meal that you can add more meat and veggies too.

Grass-fed beef is loaded with clean protein and healthy fats such as omega 3’s and CLA which improve hormone function and help to burn fat and build muscle.  The grass-fed butter provides these same fats and lots of vitamin A, D, E & K2 as well as the gut healing fatty acid butyrate.

Coconut aminos are the best replacement for typical soy sauce and provide a great Asian flavor without the soy.   Herbamare is a terrific all-purpose seasoning that has anti-oxidant rich Italian herbs, sea salt and kelp.  This is rich in trace minerals, tastes good and improves energy levels.
