Turmero Onion Burgers:

This is extremely tasty and powerfully anti-inflammatory burger that your family will LOVE!

Turmeric Onion Burgers

Yield 4 burgers

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of grass-fed ground beef
  • 2 tbsp of ground turmeric
  • ¼ small red onion diced up
  • Pink salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 pasture-raised egg
  • Italian herbs (Oregano, basil, thyme) to taste
  • 2 tbsps of coconut oil

Instructions:

Step #1:  Take ground beef, diced onion and egg and mix them all together. The egg helps provide a gooey substance to stick the onion with the beef.

Step #2:  Once mixed, form into 4 circular (1/4 pound) burgers.

Step #3:  Heat 2 tbsps of coconut oil on your stainless steel pan until melted.

Step #4:  Put burgers onto pan and cook at a low-medium heat until burger is done the way you like. Some of the fat will come out of the burger and be liquid on the pan.

Step #5:  After the burger is cooked add turmeric and flip burger around in left over fat on the pan until it is moist around the burger.

Step #6:  Add salt, pepper and Italian herbs to taste and serve with a salad or steamed veggies.

Turmeric is a very powerful anti-inflammatory agent that helps to decrease pain levels, improve liver detoxification, destroy cancer cells and improve skin health. Adding in black pepper helps to improve the absorption of the curcuminoid anti-oxidants within the turmeric.

Red onions are loaded with sulfur containing amino acids that improve detoxification and skin health. They also are rich in anthocyanins which reduce stress in the body and fight cancer.
