Feel free to use any sweetener that you like, but but to keep it keto you will need to stick with monk fruit, erythritol, xylitol or stevia.  If you use raw honey, coconut sugar or maple syrup the sugar content in one of those sweeteners would make it higher carb.

If you would like a special discount on the monk fruit that I use, you can find it through Lakanto here and put in the coupon code Jockers for 20% off of your purchase.  This discount sure beats buying these products at the health food store or on Amazon.  This company has many fantastic keto approved products so try them out!

The combination of coconut’s medium chain fats with the good fats and antioxidants in raw cacao are a synergistic combo that is amazing.  Chocolate drives up dopamine levels which is the key neurotransmitter that makes us feel good and gives us drive to accomplish goals and be productive.  Both coconut oil and chocolate are fantastic for gut health and they help provide the optimal environment for a healthy intestinal ecosystem.

This recipe is fantastic for a middle of the day treat that will boost your energy levels and improve your drive to be productive and effective in the afternoon.  Try it out and let us know what you thought in the comments box below.

  1. OMG! Who put this video together — a preteen? How HORRIBLY IRRITATING it was trying to focus, while that hideous background NOISE was drowning out the foreground speaker! Please — this is TOTALLY shabby & unprofessional! An insult to interested patrons!

  2. Hey Marilyn,

Yes, actually it was put together by a teenager. I think they were experimenting with how to make the video fun and energizing. Sorry you didn’t like it and were so turned off by it. Hope you enjoy the recipe!

  3. Compassion goes a long way to all who forgot to show any!

It is obvious this young lady is just that, young. And while yes, poor judgement was used in the music selection… nonetheless her endeavor to share a really delicious recipe with countless chocolate lovers is commendable thus I just wonder had she been your daughter would THE comments have been more encouraging by first acknowledging her innovative recipe talent, then suggesting a different music background, If any, since her own voice quality was very pleasant and effective.

Since we all make mistakes and all mistakes make our life’s experiences those of us who have accumulated a life’s worth of experiences ought to mentor our younger generations using encouraging wisdom and approval while correcting with love and humor their misjudgments not destroying their spirits with insensitive judgments.

    1. Well said, Barbara! This recipe looks sooo delicious! I love having the videos of the recipes! Will definitely try this with the sea salt!

  4. The recipe videos would be great if the music were turned down, way down, or even off. It is such a distraction that I can’t watch them. Perhaps start with some music and then end with some, if you must, at a lower volume even then. But when you have to struggle to hear the talking over such loud noise, it is counterproductive.

  5. I have made these twice (but only 1/4 the recipe) and they are FABULOUS! The video should be watched because it varies slightly from the written recipe! I give this 5 thumbs up! Thanks for sharing!!! Because I don’t share these. 🙂

  6. I made these exactly as the recipe stated. They were bitter and horrible. Wish I had not wasted my oil, butter and cacao powder on these. Mine didn’t even come out looking like yours even though I didn’t deviate from the recipe and used the stevia and a little honey for a bit more sweetness. All I can say is that this is one of the worst things I’ve ever made from the Internet. Yuck!
