Mae Goss Biography

My name is Mae Goss. I was born and raised in Kennesaw, Georgia, and I have three siblings I love dearly.   From a very early age I knew my profession would be something very “people” oriented. I am a social butterfly in every aspect of my life. I started high school and decided to get my first retail job when I was 16 at a teen fashion store. I worked retail for four years and absolutely loved it.

I applied and was accepted into Georgia State University where I had decided to pursue a business hospitality major, which I like to describe as the “customer service side of business”. I knew working and helping people was what I wanted to do for a living, so when my second semester of college rolled around I decided to look for a job to better suit my major.

I looked at being a bank teller or working at a hotel, but nothing presented itself. Finally a woman from my church posted about a job opening where she worked, a chiropractor’s clinic called Exodus Health Center.

Exodus Health Center was unlike any job I had ever applied for. I interviewed and immediately felt like this was where I was meant to be. The staff and the patients welcomed me with open arms, to better myself, to help myself grow in a way I had never grown before.

Dr. David counseled me through my health journey, and Dr. Shannon mentored me and showed me how to be the best person I can be. I felt this new sense of purpose, not only was I around people and doing what I love all day, but I was actually bettering the lives of our patients by helping them along their health journeys as well. The feeling was indescribable, and I was motivated to eat healthier, start meditating, get adjusted regularly,   and work hard at the relationships I had built over the years.

Exodus Health center has changed my life in so many ways. I am so grateful for the amazing patients and people who are in my life, I couldn’t see myself doing anything else.
