Dr Jockers Comments
The health of your brain depends upon how good your blood flow dynamics are. If you have poor blood flow, resulting in either high or low blood pressure, you will feel mentally sluggish throughout the day. If you have good blood flow, you will get a lot of oxygen into your brain which will help you feel sharp and fresh.
This recipe is great for your skin, your liver, your blood, your kidneys and your brain! Cilantro is one of the best heavy metal detoxifiers and supports the liver and the kidneys. Swiss chard is rich in B vitamins, folate and magnesium which help to reduce homocysteine and improve blood flow throughout the body.
Lemon and lime are both rich in vitamin C and bioflavonoids, also called vitamin P. The synergy between vitamin C and vitamin P within this juice helps to improve deep capillary permeability to enhance blood flow and oxygenation into the deep areas of the brain and body.
Cucumbers and celery improve electrolyte balance which plays an important role in blood flow dynamics and getting rid of stagnant water that accumulates in the lymphatics causing cellulite, puffy eyes and swelling in the ankles.
Ginger is amazing for the digestive system to improve all the digestive fluid secretions; it also improves the bacterial balance in the gut and reduces whole body inflammation. Try this recipe out and let us know what you think!

Do you the whole lemon and lime?
Yes, I like to juice the peel as well. The peel is rich in D-limonene which is a powerful phytonutrient.
Is this Keto friendly?
Jessica,
This recipe contains no sugar and negligible carbohydrates so yes definitely Keto-Friendly!
Do you juice this..or blend?
Hey Barbara this recipe is intended for a juicer.
Blessings!
I got a strong trickle of RED from the Swiss chard-so mine was not the lovely bright green that yours came out-more like a muddy colour -tasted ok though but my ginger was frozen so I skipped this item (I keep it bagged in the freezer and normally just grate a little into water when I want to make ginger tea)
I live 40% below the US legal poverty level, and am unable to buy a blender (unnecessary luxury).
Could I use a gifted (boiled potato) mixer? Tx, Maurice
If so, why is it necessary to always peel the ginger?
Hi Darlene, You don’t have to peel ginger but the skin may be bitter.
“Step #3: Slowly put the pieces into the BLENDER one hand full at a time. Be sure to get a mix of everything into the BLENDER with each handful.”
Step 3 says use a blender. Is this what you meant???
Yes that is correct.
As an avid juicer it’s clear to me this is a juicer recipe, however I suppose if you don’t have a juicer you could blend. I’m mostly curious as to why this post has you so bent? If you’re upset with the inconsistency just go somewhere else. 😂
