Keto Coconut Flour Gravy:

This keto coconut flour gravy recipe is a fantastic Thanksgiving addition. A good gravy can make a meal take on a whole new life of its own.  I personally love gravy with meat and cauliflower mashed potatoes.  Most gravy recipes are full of gluten containing thickeners and toxic trans-fats, preservatives and other chemical additives.  This keto coconut flour gravy is clean and free of these bad ingredients!

We created this recipe so you could have a safe and tasty gravy recipe that is grain-free and full of anti-inflammatory ingredients.  This traditional Thanksgiving staple can be used all year around and it is full of life giving nutrients.

Dr Jockers Comments:

I have always loved gravy growing up and was really disappointed that the majority of gravies on the market contain gluten, MSG and other additives and preservatives.  This gravy tastes amazing and is loaded with super foods like grass-fed butter, organic stock and super herbs like turmeric and thyme.

This gravy is perfect for a low-carb, ketogenic diet and lifestyle.  It will help your body reduce inflammation and feel great!  You and the family will love it!

  1. This looks great I am looking for a gravy that is not slimy and this looks like it would work However, is there any way I can make it Dairy Free grandson cannot tolerate butter or even ghee

  2. Terrible recipe! Never thickened. After 20 minutes of simmering (which is insanely long for a gravy!) it was still just broth. I added arrow root flour to save it, but the gravy still had a gritty consistency from the coconut flour. As for the turmeric, what an odd ingredient for gravy and clearly that was not added to the gravy in the picture because this gravy does not turn out a lovely cream, I thought 1 tsp turmeric sounded like way too much so I started with a couple dashes and my gravy instantly turned mustard yellow, I stopped at that point.
The flavor was good, I will definitely blend onions and garlic into my gravy in the future, but really that is the only saving grace of this recipe.

  3. Hi all~ regarding the gritty-ness of a gravy recipe using Coconut Flour, put it into your blender (dry). Then sift the flour from the blender and only add the flour from the blender, that became fine. (Coconut flour is naturally a bit coarse) Not all of the coconut flour that you put in the blender will become fine. Hey–save the remainder for something else that you will bake! I do like the addition of Arrow Root Flour for thickening; or use the cornstarch. (start adding the cornstarch 1/4 tsp at a time, stir a half minute or so, and wait another minute before you add more because it can get thick with time and the heat from your stove; and when it does get thick, it thickens rapidly. This is gravy, not sludge.) Another spice to add is ‘Creme of Tartar’. Add maybe a half teaspoon, definitely no more than 1 tsp. Its a powder and has no dairy component; it has a very slight ability to thicken a gravy, and will add a mild flavor that will compliment most poultry gravies. Cornstarch, has no flavor.
