In This Episode:

In this podcast episode, I interview Ben Azadi and we discuss metabolic freedom as the key to longevity and healing chronic inflammation.

In this episode, Dr. Jockers is joined by Ben Azadi, author of Metabolic Freedom, to explore how metabolic flexibility is the key to achieving better health and reducing chronic inflammation.

Ben, who transformed his own life by losing 80 pounds and becoming metabolically healthy, shares insights on how most people are stuck in sugar-burning mode—leading to weight gain, fatigue, and disease.

How Fasting and Metabolic Flexibility Improve Health

Ben breaks down the science behind metabolic flexibility, revealing why it’s crucial to switch between burning fat and sugar. He explains how fasting activates autophagy, the body’s natural process of cellular cleanup, and why it’s vital for healing and longevity.

This episode is packed with practical tips on how to optimize your metabolism, burn fat more efficiently, and reduce inflammation.

The Role of Insulin and Healthy Eating

Want to boost your energy and burn fat? Ben dives into how insulin affects your metabolism and why managing insulin levels is essential for sustained energy. He also offers strategies for cutting out unhealthy habits, like snacking and constant grazing, that can sabotage your health.
